Hailey ThomanExecutive Director, Linkages
Hailey grew up in Michigan and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. She came to Tucson in 2007 to work a one year contract as an AmeriCorps*VISTA for Volunteer Southern Arizona (VSA). After coordinating one of VSA’s programs she worked for Habitat for Humanity Tucson as their Volunteer Coordinator. Before becoming the Executive Director for Linkages she was their Regional Director for Pima County for 2 1/2 years. Hailey understands the history of Linkages and is not only passionate about the mission, but equality in general for individuals with disabilities. Currently, Hailey is a commissioner to the Mayor and Council for the Commission on Disability Issues, organized the DREAM Job Fair Committee for Pima County, and serves on Pima Community on Transition. She and her husband have 2 children and find so much joy in being their parents.
Joey IngegneriDirector of Community Outreach for The Jim Click Automotive Team & Linkages
Born and raised in Tucson, Joey has always been active in our community. As the Director of Community Outreach for The Jim Click Automotive Team and Linkages he not only enriches our business community, he also helps many less fortunate people. After being paralyzed in an auto accident in 1997, Joey became a passionate advocate for people with disabilities; he also has a keen business sense and is an exceptional people-person. In 2016 Joey was named one of Tucson’s top 40 rising stars under the age of 40. Before The Jim Click Automotive Team and Linkages, Joey was a top producer for a successful insurance group and the Director of Finance for one of the nation’s largest Toyota dealerships. Joey graduated magna-cum-laude from the University of Arizona where he was a scholarship athlete on the wheelchair rugby team. He serves on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations and is on advisory councils for the University of Arizona and Pima Community College. Joey and his wife Courtney were blessed with a beautiful daughter in 2013. Joey says “I try to live each day to the fullest. We can’t change the past and don’t know what tomorrow will bring but there is so much value in being present today”.
Jeremiah LopezRegional Director of Rural Arizona
Jeremiah has more than eight years experience in human resource, office management and business development. Most recently, he was the Communications Director for the Central Arizona Human Resource Management Association (SHRM) and has been involved in start-up job training programs helping individuals with disabilities learn needed job skills. Jeremiah is passionate about building public and non-profit partnerships on behalf of individuals with disabilities. As Regional Director for Rural Arizona he is responsible for community relations for Linkages and covers 7 counties in Southern Arizona. Currently he also serves as the Director of the AZ Youth Division, UPCI. Prior to his work as Regional Director for Linkages, Jeremiah worked in sales & marketing for Intuit, Inc. and for Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. He and his wife have four wonderful children and have been happily married for 14 years.
Steve FreemanRegional Director of Pima County
Steve is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in General Business Administration. Steve has over 20 years’ experience in advertising sales management and outside sales positions with the Tucson Shopper, Tucson Newspapers, ADVO and Valassis. Most recently, he was the Program Coordinator for Say So of Southern Arizona at DIRECT Center for Independence and established and supported self-advocacy groups in Southern Arizona. He is the President of the Southern Arizona Network for Down Syndrome and is a board member of the National Down Syndrome Society. He and his wife have two beautiful daughters. Their youngest daughter has Down syndrome and she graduated from the University of Arizona in their Project FOCUS program in May of 2016.
Reyna RomeroAdministrative Support
Reyna graduated from Flowing Wells High School as an Arizona Scholar. She has given three dedicated years to Linkages. In addition to the administrative supports she provides, Reyna represents Linkages at outreach events, and most recently attended the Military/Veteran Resource Navigation Training through the Arizona Coalition for Military Families. Reyna also works closely with the volunteers and firmly believes that everyone has something to offer an employer if given the opportunity.
